Red subjects in this collection
The red hub gathers every set where red is the main color: the male northern cardinal, poinsettia bracts, holly berries, the red cap of the fly agaric toadstool, red maple trees and fall leaves, and red glass ornaments. Watercolor reds run from warm scarlet to cool crimson, so check the palette on each image before mixing sets.
Matching reds across a design
Every image lists its HEX values and nearest DMC floss and Copic marker. When you mix sets, line up the HEX codes: a cardinal and a poinsettia that both sit near the same crimson will look like one family, while a scarlet maple leaf beside them will read orange. Red carries Christmas, Canada Day (the maple leaf) and woodland or fairy themes (the toadstool).
