What Are Mathematical SVG Shapes?

Every shape above is generated by a mathematical formula — no image files, no manual drawing. Spirographs use hypotrochoid equations, rose curves come from polar functions, fractal trees apply recursive branching rules, and Lissajous figures trace harmonic oscillation patterns. The result is infinitely scalable vector art that stays crisp at any resolution.

Shape Types Explained

The generator includes 12 distinct shape families. Stars alternate inner and outer radius points to form classic pointed shapes. Spirographs trace the path of a point on a circle rolling inside another circle. Rose curves plot petals using the polar equation r = cos(kθ). Mandalas repeat symmetrical petal motifs around a center point. Organic blobs use smooth bezier splines through randomly offset control points. Fractal trees apply recursive branching with angle and length decay. Each generation randomizes the key parameters, so every click produces a unique variation.

Why Use SVG?

SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) files are resolution-independent, meaning they look sharp on any screen — from mobile to 4K displays. They're also tiny compared to raster images, CSS-styleable, and natively supported in every modern browser. Download as SVG for scalable assets, or export as PNG when you need a fixed-size raster image.

Using Generated Shapes in Your Projects

These shapes work as decorative backgrounds, logo elements, presentation graphics, social media assets, loading animations, and pattern textures. Use the color scheme presets to match your brand palette, or switch to custom colors for precise control. Lock shapes you like before regenerating to build a curated collection. Copy the SVG code directly into your HTML, CSS, or design tool.
